Mix Tape the Novel

I have figured out what I am going to write for my NaNoWriMo novel this year. The working title is Mix tape: the Novel. It is the story of a man who is given an old mix tape. It becomes a journey into his past, looking at who he was and who he became.

I need some good mix tape ideas. The protagonist is going to be the same age as I am, 33. I need to make mix tapes for Pre-high school (before 1987) High School (1987-1990) College (1990-1994) Post College (1995-1999) and End of the Novel (2000-2005) Tell me if you have any songs that would be good for these times. If you have any full mixes to post I would be happy to see them.
